Adderley Featherstone is an independent international executive search and recruitment firm. Our traditional values, integrity, modern outlook and total quality culture ensures we will recruit the right people for you. 

We are specialists in board level and senior management appointments operating in a wide range of sectors and we have a diverse and growing client base. Our search and selection experience covers virtually every area of industry and commerce, is multi-disciplined and includes international markets.

We have long standing client relationships and have achieved success in recruiting for multi-nationals, subsidiaries, private companies, private equity, entrepreneurs, start-ups, OEMs, new technology and a diverse range of manufacturers, B2B and B2C clients.

Adderley Featherstone was founded in 1991 by Peter Adderley following a successful career in industry at board level and including the leadership of one of Europe's largest executive search companies.

Our management team has unrivalled experience in board and senior management recruitment. We also have considerable personal experience at board level in public and private companies, both in the UK and internationally.

Our principles.

Trust is at the centre of the relationship between client and the recruiting partner. Confidential, sensitive and important management decisions are being entrusted to the consultancy. Fees and expenses are being paid by the client. Time and resources are being committed by the consultancy. For the exchange to be successful and enduring, this trust has to be put above all.

High Quality, Recommended Candidates

We will only introduce candidates to a client who fit the agreed specification and who are of the highest quality in all respects. We adopt a positive consulting approach, making specific recommendations regarding individual candidates to clients. 

A Total Objective Approach

In fulfilling the recruitment requirement, we apply a completely objective consulting approach without any pre-conditions or assumptions as to the method. Executive search, management selection using confidential advertising primarily through the internet, or a combination of both will be used after detailed briefing and agreement with the client.

Speed with an Agreed Timetable

We work quickly at a commercial pace and commit ourselves to completing the assignment fully and within an agreed timescale which is established at the start of each assignment.

 
 

Our philosophy.

 High Calibre Staff

We are proud of the high calibre of our consulting and support staff, all of whom have in depth experience in the Recruitment and Human Resource Consulting industry. All of our consultants are graduates many with specialist second degrees, MBAs or professional qualifications and all with significant prior senior management experience outside of search and management selection.

We adhere to a strict code of ethics and offer absolute confidentiality to both clients and candidates alike.

We are interested in building long term relationships with our clients, being their trusted adviser and motivated to gain their ongoing business. All of our staff are rewarded on the basis of the company’s overall success. These factors breed continuity and a team spirit which is advantageous to both our clients and our company.

Fees Relating to the Consultants' Input

We believe in offering absolute value for money. Our fees are structured and related to the input required by the consultant and the complexity of the work. Fees are agreed and fixed at the start of each assignment so that the client knows exactly how much to budget from the outset in order to complete the recruitment project. We do not have a minimum fee.

 Professional Ethics.

  • We will not undertake an assignment unless we are confident in completing the work to our client's satisfaction.

  • We seek long term relationships based on our own and our client's success.

  • We only put forward candidates to clients who fit the specification and who have been thoroughly screened, personally interviewed and assessed by us. We do not put forward candidate curriculum vitae without their permission.

  • We will never directly approach an employee of a client company nor liaise with them unless by agreement with the client.

  • We limit the number of clients we work with in any one industry or area of economic specialty. We offer absolute confidentiality for both clients and candidates.

  • We work on the basis of professional consultancy fees, agreed and fixed in advance. We do not accept fees from candidates.

  • Our objectivity is guaranteed.

 
 

Fees.

Our fees are competitive within the marketplace. They reflect the level of responsibility, anticipated degree of complexity and amount of consultant input and resources required. Each assignment is agreed in writing beforehand, including our timetable commitment to the shortlisting stage. 

We agree with the client an initial retainer fee, a working fee to be charged on presentation of the shortlist and a completion fee when the right candidate is appointed. We also agree with the client the anticipated level of variable expenses and our web-based advertising campaigns are highly cost effective.

Our letter of confirmation details all fees so that the client knows exactly how much to budget for the completion of the assignment in advance, it being a fixed price contract.
