The client is a multi site manufacturer of specialist products, t/o c £100m and operating across a number of distinct manufacturing sites with each site having an existing accounting team in place. As part of a larger group, the role reports through a divisional structure in finance and also interfaces significantly with site general management, commercial, operations and supply chain.
The focus of the role is to improve the financial analysis and reporting processes of the business and take it to a level commensurate with a world class manufacturing operation. The role also embraces significant detail on management accounting, consolidations, forecasting, the budgeting process, systems improvement and leadership as there is a highly experienced team in place.
A high calibre individual is required. You will need a good quality university degree, to have gained your qualifications in a leading accountancy practice and have had an early grounding in accounting in a world class manufacturing organisation. You will have high levels of commercial awareness, intellectual rigour, excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, a strength in systems and processes and the ambition and ability to make it to board level.
