This is a broad ranging international sales role with a top 3 worldwide specialist manufacturer of capital plant and consumables. The company is highly successful, privately owned with a reputation for innovation and engineering excellence. It manufactures from 3 locations; the UK, USA and China and sells its products globally direct to the end user. It operates at the higher end of its marketplace, has a well-known brand and its products can be in excess of £1 million in value. It is enjoying growth particularly in China.

This role reporting to the MD carries responsibility for the UK and China/Pacific Rim markets, there being a separate sales function in the USA. With a small dedicated team in each location the role presents many opportunities and challenges; leading the sales team and agents, creating a structured selling approach, developing large scale corporate clients and creating new market opportunities based on market intelligence and strong regular customer contact. A high calibre candidate with the ability to make it to Director level and possibly Group Sales Director ultimately is required.

Graduate qualified with an engineering mindset, you will need to have an impressive career to date in large-scale capital plant sales into international markets. You will be comfortable with the pressures of preparing complex bids and proposals, high levels of international travel and combine technical, commercial and financial awareness. A strong team player, you will also be looking for a long-term career in a stable, progressive, high quality company and your ability must match your ambition to reach Board level.
