This is a broad ranging role within a small growing manufacturer of FMCG products which are sold through retail channels. The company employs c120, manufactures in excess of 500 SKU’s over five days on a 24 hour shift pattern and is looking for significant growth in its operational capability. The products are a combination of brands and own-label and its customer base which includes significant retailers is demanding in terms of quality, price and delivery.

Reporting to the Managing Director and forming part of an effective senior team, this is a new role which embraces manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, purchasing and planning. The focus is to bring process improvements and a culture change programme which will take the business towards world-class status. Candidates will need to be highly qualified impressive individuals with relevant and real experience in lean manufacturing. You will have a good quality university degree, you will have been trained in a large world class manufacturing group and also have seen first hand a high volume, multi process batch operation. You will be comfortable in an environment looking for change management and in terms of specific product sectors you will need to have worked in FMCG, ideally non-food or possibly pharmaceuticals. The position will appeal to an ambitious individual with a strong manufacturing background looking to make it to Board level within the next 12 months. You will relish the challenge of bringing your large company experience and skills to a small company with ambition. You will also need strong experience with MRP systems.
