This is a superb opportunity within a highly successful, medium sized, multi-site business – a subsidiary of a major group - engaged in the supply of chilled food products to the UK foodservice industry. It has an enviable reputation for outstanding customer service, truly excellent products, high calibre people and its unique market offering. With future growth opportunities aplenty, a talented and energetic Sales Director is required to lead the sales division to the next stage of its expansion and evolution.

Reporting to the Managing Director and with full P&L responsibility, your key challenge will be to provide ‘hands on’ inspirational leadership to an experienced and well established team of sales managers, field-sales and telesales staff, operating primarily within the independent customer sector. Your remit will be to maximize the tremendous growth opportunity that exists, enhancing revenue and margin by driving high quality customer activity and developing innovative commercial/marketing solutions with both new and existing customers. Achievement of top quality results is mission critical whilst people development, performance evaluation/analysis, pricing and key account management will also be high on your agenda.

The role will require a high class individual with exceptional sales leadership capability. You will be an accomplished sales director/leader – perhaps with the headroom for future career growth - and a demonstrable track record of running a high achieving sales team utilizing your strong people management and selling skills. Top sales managers, aspirationally looking for that next career step would also be of great interest. Either way, your background will include significant experience of selling into the independent/wholesale marketplaces with food, catering and beverage products all being of great relevance. Exceptional candidates from other associated sectors (food distribution/manufacturing, wholesale) would also be welcomed.
