A challenging opportunity has arisen for an experienced person to become Fleet Manager. Candidates must be able to demonstrate leadership, communication and motivational skills, coupled with astute commercial acumen. A proven record of people management and strategic implementation of transport resources are mandatory requirements for this position.
The successful candidate will have first hand experience in:-
Fleet Management: The ability and experience to manage cost effectively a large and diverse in house and contract fleet, including the management of very significant fuel, maintenance, refurbishment and replenishment budgets. They will have a comprehensive understanding of logistics and planning to ensure optimum utilisation of equipment and adherence to closely defined performance indices.
Legislation: Applicants must be fully conversant with all current and proposed legislative requirements for the operation of a sizeable fleet.
Customer Service: An astute understanding of the importance of guaranteeing customer service coupled with a sensitivity for good environmental practice.
